It is always nice to visit a
new place, check the sights, relax and unwind from the hustle and bustle of
life. Last March 2011, I was able to set
foot in Mindanao, for the first time. (yahoo!! ) It is the largest city in
Mindanao and the home of the Philippine Eagle.
We flew last March 7, 2011 on flight 5J-965 from Manila to Davao City. I was really excited since it was a long awaited trip together with my hon. ^_^ . The flight was not really long considering that the flight was bound to Mindanao. Upon arrival, we were picked up by the Pearl Farm's airport transfer for 500.00php for 2 pax. I know it is costly considering that there are taxis outside the airport but it is convenient to arrange airport pickups.

Pearl Farm is a famous resort in Davao City. Located in
Samal island where pristine beaches and virgin diving sites are tourist
attractions. For more information you can check their site here - http://www.pearlfarmresort.com/
Pearl Farm resort is really first class. Even their marina in Davao City is a mini resort in the city. Here's a sample of pictures:

The
boat ride to the Samal Island is 45 minutes. Pearl Farm has scheduled boat
trips. You can arrange special boat ride however it would cost 6,000 php so we
did not mind waiting for the 4pm boat ride. The ride to Pearl Farm was very relaxing;
with the waves lulling us to sleep, the wind caressing your face, and the
scenic sights of the sea and islands, 45 minutes was a short ride.

Not sure what kind of boat this is but it looked like a fishing vessel

Finally we arrived in Pearl Farm around 5pm. Here are some
pictures of the resort.
